Fundamental to GAA's future vision is the creation and education of the next generation of professional airline pilots and aircraft engineers. A recent forecast (June 2011) by aircraft manufacturer Boeing, states that the world will require 650,000 new aircraft mechanics and 459,600 new pilots over the next 20 years to cope with new aircrafts joining the global fleet and replace retiring engineers.
Our Ab-Initio programmes for cadet engineers are unique in the MENA region and designed to attract only qualified and highly motivated individual who have the passion to enjoy a rewarding career in aviation.
We have already successfully trained a number of Ab-Initio cadets in our Engineering Programme which is conducted in association with Tamkeen and enables aspiring cadets the chance to kick-start a promising career in aeronautical engineering.
This structured programme is managed by GAA through a partnership with AFAQ Institute of Aviation Technology in Bahrain over a period of four years. Graduates will receive international licences issued by EASA (European Aviation Safety Agency) – (PART 66 – B1 or B2 Licence) and will be guaranteed job opportunities with our sister company Gulf Technics.
